Posted by Bravado Living On July - 20 - 2009

If you’re in the market for fractional ownership of a yacht (and if you’re reading this site, there’s a good chance you are) then we have come to answer your prayers. YachtPlus launches it’s first Foster and Partners Designed Super Yacht.

“The fractional ownership super-yacht company, YachtPlus, launched its first yacht – The Ocean Emerald – in La Spezia, Italy on April 25 in the presence of Norman Foster. This contemporary 41 metre yacht has been designed with a strong emphasis on space and light and has five suites for up to 12 guests, who will be looked after by a permanent, highly trained crew of seven. The internal planning of the yacht offers total flexibility to respond to the diverse requirements of the owners and their guests and keen attention has been paid to design and detail ranging from the internal (2,790sqft) and external (2,495sqft) areas to cutlery, crockery, fabrics and crew uniforms. All furnishings and fittings are provided by the Italian manufacturer Cassina and kitchen and galley equipment by Schiffini.”

Basically what that means is unless you’re benefitting off of a ponzi scheme, chances are you probably won’t be able to afford it. But we won’t knock you for trying.

And it’s not like you have any reason to buy a yacht.

Shoei VFX-W Motocross Helmet

Posted by Bravado Living On July - 10 - 2009

While we’re not big fans of helmets, if you must wear one, then it might as well look cool. The aggressive styling on the Shoei VFX-W achieves just that. Using a new shell-forming technology that allows even consistency across the helmet, and the ability to create new and radical shapes, Shoei was able to create a motocross helmet that satisfies our need for style and function.

It doesn’t just look good either. With a glare guard, quick release latch, and detachable cheek pads for easy removal in case of an accident, this helmet is designed for heavy use. Hell, this thing looks so good, we wouldn’t mind wearing it off the track.

Blacked-out from fender to fender, the 2009 Harley-Davidson Iron 883 ($7,900) is an affordable, no-frills chopper that’s begging to be customized. The latest Harley Dark Custom motocycle, the Iron 883 offers plenty of old-school, anti-plastic style, including front fork gaiters, a drag-style handlebar, side-mount license plate holder, a chopped rear fender, a straight cut shorty dual exhaust, and 13-spoke cast aluminum wheels (19-inch front, 16-inch rear) with a fat 150 mm rear tire. The bike is powered by the impressive Evolution 883cc V-Twin engine.

Brand New BMW 7 Series M Sport

Posted by Bravado Living On June - 27 - 2009

As if the 7 series wasn’t menacing enough, BMW has decided to beef up their flagship model by tattooing the M brand on the behemoth model. Lowering the car, giving it a more aggressive stance, distinct wheels, menacing front-fascia, signature M steering wheel, footrest and shifter this car definitely looks sportier.

It’s what’s under the hood that backs up the promise that the looks deliver. While the old sail-boat of a car was designed for cruising and making a statement, the new twin-turbo diesel engine delivering over 440 lbs of torque to the wheels, you’ll get the punch you’re looking for, and expect from an M Sport 7 Series.

Ferrari California Upgrade

Posted by Bravado Living On June - 25 - 2009

With a 460 HP engine and 0-60 time in under 4 seconds, “upgrade” is the last thing on the mind of a California owner. Especially since it comes with a one-year waiting list just to buy the thing. Ferrari’s first every front-mount engine car has taken the Ferrari world by storm and Edo Competition has decided that this car needed a boost.

By beefing up the engine, they pushed it past the coveted half-century mark to 510 HP, custom sport suspension kit which hugs the ground and destroys turns, better wheels, and as if a Ferrari’s exhaust wasn’t throaty enough- a brand new exhaust kit with butterfly valves. This car was sexy enough before the Edo package, but after seeing these pictures, upgrade is on our mind.
